At the side of the car park by the Abbey there is a pretty little river.
Didn't go out yesterday as it rained all day but weather dry today so decided to go to Tewkesbury. I parked by the Abbey and walked along the side of the River Avon which runs at the back of the High Street. Just beyond the town the Avon merges with the Severn, you can see the two rivers in one of the photos and just in front of the building in the middle of the picture there is a lock to get from one to the other. There is an old warehouse type building which is situated between the two rivers, it used to be a flour mill but it is empty now. I walked back up the High Street and got some white and and brown thread for my new project but haven't done any more on it as I have been concentrating on getting up to date with my CAL. The buildings along the High Street are amazing. There a lot of really old timber framed buildings as well as Georgian. At the side of the car park by the Abbey there is a pretty little river. I had a walk around the grounds of the Abbey. It is very big and very old (it was founded in 1087). You can see the different building stones in some places where it has been added to. Some amazing trees. This afternoon the steam train passed by. There are not many running at the moment. I took a couple of photos through the caravan window to show how close they pass by. I am now all up to date with my CAL, though the next part comes out tomorrow!
