No posts for a little while but I have been busy. I made a couple of cards, one of which was for my friends who were married 8 years ago at Port Merierion in Wales. The theme for their wedding was black and white so I reflected this in the card.
I have been crocheting and knitting some more face/dish cloths. I am trying to use up all of my odd balls of cotton. I sent one to my sister in London together with a mask. I am also working on a top secret knitting project for a small person which I hope very much to hand over soon.
My latest sewing project is a black, white and grey 'badger' themed quilt which I am planning on giving to Secret World Wildlife Rescue in Somerset so they can raffle it off and raise some money. I have 'adopted' three animals from them already, a hedgehog, an owl and a deer. The hedgehog for Anais and Roman, the owl for Brendyn and Olivia and the deer for me. I had collected some nice things which I was going to take to their charity shop in Burnham on Sea when we went there on holiday for Whit week. That of course didn't happen so I thought I would do this instead. All of the squares (80 full size + 10 half size) are now cut out and ready for embellishment before being joined together.
I have also been sorting out some photographs to upload to my family tree on Ancestry and came across some pretty photo frames that I had forgotten about. I selected some pictures to put in them and they are now hanging on the wall on the landing.
On Saturday I met up again with Mark, Michelle, Anais and Roman for a picnic in their local park. This time I took a couple of photos.
I am Jenny (when I was little my dad always called me Jenny Wren) and I enjoy making hand crafted things. Watch this space to see what I am working on.
