All of the buildings are Cotswold stone and many are very old. I captured the date on one of the buildings. In the centre of the town is the Lygon Arms, a 16th century coaching inn. According to their website I could stay there tomorrow night for a mere £425.
On the horizon on the first picture you can see Broadway Tower. The tower is a folly built in 1798 and was the idea of Capability Brown. I really must visit it next time. I understand there is a nuclear bunker there too.
The railway truck in the last picture is at the entrance to the caravan site.
I have knitted one man sized glove in grey and also finished two owl key rings ready for stuffing.
