Came back home on Sunday afternoon and have been continuing with my knitting and crochet. Four more crocheted mohair flowers done and two more grey beanie hats. The flowers are quick and easy to do but the hats are quite hard work as the wool is very thick. I think I have enough to do another two and will be glad when they are finished. Just the pom poms to do then.

When I was in Somerset I managed to get some black poly/cotton material to make some masks. So far I have made 6. They are made to a new pattern that does not require a nose wire and they seem to have worked out quite well. I was a bit dubious so I made a prototype first.

When I came to get the caravan out last Friday I had problems with the motor mover. It would go a little way and then stop. Luckily Mark and Michelle were there to assist and we got it out OK. We decided that it was the battery and it needed a good charge. However when I came to put it away again it was the same, actually worse and the battery was very low. As I rely on the mover to get the van out and back in I needed to get a new battery. We measured to size of the battery box so I would know what size battery I could have and I ordered a new one which was delivered on Wednesday. It is much more powerful than the previous one but also much heavier. I can't lift it!

Made another rhubarb and ginger treacle steamed pudding tonight which was delicious with some ice cream. Also made an apple and cinnamon version but the apples made the mixture soggy when I took it out of the steamer. Popped it in the halogen oven for 10 minutes which dried the top and browned it but it still seems a bit soggy underneath. Have left it in the dish for now and will try it tomorrow.

Spent most of today cutting out some bags and aprons from some more curtain fabric from my stash. I now have a table cloth, 7 bags and 2 aprons ready to sew up tomorrow and the pile of material is definitely going down.

I also have a card to make for tomorrow so will get out the card making stuff and hopefully do a few.
