I ventured out on Sunday to Walsall to take some matchboarding (and marmalade) to Richard so that he could finish the back of some cupboards. (Something else gone out of the loft, yay!). I promised it to him a while ago and then lockdown intervened. It's the furthest I have been in ages and it was lovely to see the family, even from a distance. Bren proudly showed my his tortoises (see Deb's blog brenoli.wordpress.com). I could only stay a few minutes as I was parked on the neighbour's drive as there was no where else. (Downside of lockdown is everyone is at home!).
On Monday I collected some more fabric to make scrubs. Black this time which is fine as I have plenty of black thread. The fabric has been provided by donations collected by Chris Evans and his son Noah and the local scrubs group was looking for volunteers to sew it. I had two packs, each of which was supposed to make 2 sets. The first pack however contained enough fabric to make 3 sets and an additional top in XL!. Not started on the second pack yet.

On the way home from collecting the material I popped to see Mark and the family to drop off a birthday present for the children's cousin. (As well as some marmalade and masks). Quick catch up on the drive and then to Lidl to do shopping. I like shopping at Lidl as it is quiet and there is plenty of room. Got everything I really needed which is good as I am limiting my trips to the shops at present. Treated myself as well!
On Tuesday the additional fabric arrived from when I was sent short measure so I was able to make the final top and most of Wednesday was spent cutting out and preparing the 3 XL sets in black. This is using a different pattern (which was provided) to the one I have used before. This time I will have to set in sleeves which will take extra time.

Will keep you posted on progress.
