Have been busy over the last week sewing up the 10 scrub trousers and 9 tops. All done now and delivered to the co-ordinator to be passed on to Walsall Manor hospital. They are black and it has been a bit trying to sew them, you need a really good light. Have also been crocheting rainbows and have managed to do 5. I asked Michelle to do some as well and she has done another 5 so 10 rainbows on their way to cheer up hospitals in the Burton on Trent area. In my spare moments I have been tracing my family tree which I find quite addictive. I started doing this some time ago using Free BMD at home and Ancestry at Dudley Archives and collecting print outs of documents. I then started to draft trees in a book for different sides of the family. I have now transferred these to Ancestry and added a lot more information. It's easy to get carried away but I want to stick to just direct lines of descent. It's fascinating to see what jobs people did which you can find out from the censuses. I knew my mothers side of the family were all chainmakers, including the women! I was once told that nails made by my great grandmother, Eliza Partridge, are in the Black Country Museum.
