One week gone already of the new decade. Spent a lovely New Year with Mark and Michelle. Watched Jules Holland and all linked hands to sing Auld Lang Syne (one of these days we'll actually learn the words!) Delicious lunch on New Year's day then back home and work to do on Thursday and Friday.
Had a walk round Stourbridge on Saturday (don't go there very often and I must say it's getting a bit run down which is a shame as it used to be quite smart). I wanted to see if there were any bargains to be had in the January sales and picked up a few books from WH Smiths. Also got a ball of wool for my top secret crochet project which I have been working on over Christmas. I have now done 6 out of 8 characters. Pictures to follow in a couple of weeks.
Cinema on Tuesday to see Cats. I have not seen the stage version so was not quite sure what to expect except that it's based on the poems of TS Elliot. Lots of dancing and singing and some very famous people wearing cat costumes! Excellent rendition of 'Memories' from Jennifer Hudson.
Office on Wednesday where I have been asked to run a session on knitting as part of their 'wellbeing' programme. I will have to work out the best way to do this and I think I may include some other crafts as well. Maybe crochet, latch hook, simple patchwork, rag rugging? Maybe I could make up some starter packs? I'll give it some thought.
