I was working yesterday but had a quick trip into Umberleigh village as I had a card to post. I like to send postcards to my stepmom when I'm away. She's in her 80s and is no good with technology so a good old fashioned postcard is ideal. It's not really a village, there is nothing there. A river with a nice bridge, an antique place, an engineers, a village hall, a postbox and a station. The station is on the Tarka line and goes from Exeter to Barnstaple. There were quite a few cars parked outside so people must use it.
Day thirteen of my big adventure. Today I went to South Molton first as I had read there was a panier market there. It is quite a big town actually and the market was great. Got a lovely punnet of strawberries. These were in a shop window. Someone has been very busy crocheting! Next stop was Lynton and it was just starting to spit with rain. Had a walk round the town, picked up a birthday present for someone and then sat outside a cafe (under cover) and had a nice sausage roll and cup of tea. Rained all the way back but has gone nice now so fingers crossed for tomorrow.
