The weather forecast was looking good so we (Mark, Michelle and myself) decided to get the 'vans out last Sunday for a few days at Studley. Although I had to do a few hours work it was still very relaxing. We sat outside and read and crocheted, went for walks in the evening and generally chilled out. Mark even got the TV to work so I could watch Poldark! Somehow you can always relax better in the 'van than at home, you don't keep seeing things that need to be done!
I came home on Thursday as my sister Scarlett was coming on Friday to stay for the weekend. On Saturday we were intending to go to Warwick but decided at the last minute to stop off at Henley in Arden on the way. So glad we did, it was lovely and quite appropriate as we were going to see As You Like it at the RSC on the evening which is set in the forest of Arden. It is a really pretty village and we found a nice little cafe for lunch where we were entertained by a singer which we were not expecting!
Next stop was Warwick which is also a very interesting town, parts of which date back hundreds of years to medieval times. Two city gates still survive, the Lord Leycester Hospital and the castle of course.
On Sunday Scarlett suggested that we had breakfast outside so I found out the cushions and table cloth and we did!
