Christmas 2019

Christmas Eve and Christmas day were spent with Mark, Michelle, Anais and Roman. We went to Carols on the Green at Bournville on Christmas Eve night which is always nice to do and very popular. Singing carols round the tree accompanied by the carillon. Christmas morning we all opened our presents and then Michelle's mom and dad and cousins came for lunch which was delicious. I had some lovely presents including a big box of wool to crochet a blanket while I am away in the caravan, some vouchers for the Caravan Club, some books to read in the caravan (bit of a theme going on there from Mark and Michelle), some bath sets, a cookbook, biscuits, a striped top, wine, scented candles, a Hobbycraft voucher, a tote bag and a saucer with my initial on, a bamboo mug, chocolates, sweets and homemade marmalade (yum).

On Boxing day I went over to Richard and Debbie's for more present swapping followed by the panto at the Lichfield Garrick which has become a tradition. More lovely presents including a beautiful soft shawl, latch hook set, tea cosy knitting set, sweets, Christmas tree decorations, needle felted mouse (very cute), bath set, cross stitched stocking, biscuit tin, slate and a book of poetry from school children in the West Midlands which Olivia has a poem in.

The panto this year was Cinderella and was excellent, such a laugh.
On Friday we went for a walk round the shops in Lichfield and on Saturday for a walk round Chasewater where we saw several deer.
