The 'van was given a clean bill of health so I can start getting it ready for my first trip away which is on Thursday. (The decorating will have to wait a bit).
Have spent most of the week working on the hall, stairs and landing. It is now all stripped except for about 2 square metres at the very top of the stairs which I can't reach. Have also done most of the white paintwork, just two doors to do. Took up all of the old carpet and got rid of it to the tip. (Came back with two picture frames. I'm a hopeless case but I do have something in mind for them!). Spent a lovely day today with my friend Jackie while her husband Piete serviced the caravan. We had a nice meal in the Queens Head at Wolverley which was in a very pretty village by the side of a stream. We then visited a fabric warehouse in Kidderminster called Oh Sew Crafty. I have never seen so much fabric under one roof, and reasonably priced too. They also had lots of haberdashery, sewing patterns and knitting wool.
