Rang about the sewing machine to be told it was the next machine he was going to look at and try again tomorrow. I said I would ring again on Monday as I have the theatre tomorrow in Birmingham and thought I might have a look round the rag market while I was there.
Can't do any more hexagons for the scarf as have run out of white wool. The pattern said one ball of each of the four colours but I think it should have said two balls of white as I am barely half way through and there is none left. Made a quick trip to Hobbycraft at Merry Hill but they have none in stock so I now have to go to the Droitwich shop (in Webbs).
Have also been working on a top secret sewing project (using my trusty old machine) and have now completed all of the cutting out and preparing and am ready to start sewing up!
Had a lengthy (1 hour 15 mins) telephone conversation with my lovely step mom Shelagh this evening. She has so many things the matter with her and yet always remains cheerful and determined. The main problem is curvature of the spine which leaves her bent over and in constant pain. She is going for an injection in the spine on Monday and I have said that I will pick her up from hospital and stay with her till the next day. She has a good sense of humour and often recalls amusing things that have happened in her past career as a hairdresser which she writes down and is hoping to turn into a book.
The pictures below were taken a couple of Christmases ago with myself, Mark, Michelle, Anais and Roman.
