I also cut up the old carpet and underlay ready to take to Debbie's mom for her conservatory and to keep for my new shed. They are in the hall on dust sheets.
Wednesday I had a parcel to post, popped in to see Shelagh, started emptying the shed and carried on with my sewing.
Thursday morning I fetched the sewing machine back but have not used it yet, still using the old one. The problem was the timing belt had slipped because it was loose or warn but the machine is not very old and has not been used heavily so I am not well pleased with Singer!! Thursday afternoon was the local Historical Society and the subject was The Railways of Stourbridge. Lots of pictures of signal boxes!
Friday I had to take the car in for 9.00am. It takes less than 15 minutes across the lanes to get to the garage but took me an hour and a half to get home again by bus (well 3 buses to be precise) to find I had a message to say it was done so I had to do the journey all over again. They said it was blocked scuttle drains that had caused the leak and they have unblocked and modified them so hopefully it should not happen again.
Mark and Michelle are in the caravan for the weekend so I am wildly jealous. I hope the shed people come this morning so I can do a tip run this afternoon and start to get straight. I have Scarlett coming to stay next weekend so must be all tidy by then.
