I have been busy stripping wallpaper on the landing and touching up the white paintwork which was only done last year. Today though I took a break to go to the theatre to see Edmond de Bergerac at the Rep in Birmingham. As it was a matinee and a lovely sunny day I took the bus as it's easier (and cheaper) than taking the car. With all the roadworks going on in the city you're never quite sure where you're going to be sent. The play was excellent, a good laugh. It starred (amongst others) Josie Lawrence who was born in Old HIll where I used to live, Freddie Fox (Edward Fox's son) and Henry Goodman who was in the ABC murders on TV over Christmas. |
