From the beginning of October you will no longer be able to purchase my items from Coopers Crafty Corner, however you can purchase them from my Folksy shop or direct from me!

I will keep you posted on my new makes so just let me know what you are interested in.

I recently visited the fabulous Abakhan shops in Mostyn (N Wales) and Chester and came back with armfuls of material and wool which I am mostly planning on turning into clothes for myself. (Haven't done any proper dressmaking for ages). Have even got the knitting machine out!

Watch this space to see what turns out and you never know there might be a few things for sale (I have a few ideas!!).

I have also included some knitting and crochet pattern books, some with a set of crochet hooks!

With the end of term just round the corner I have been concentrating on small, pocket money priced gifts for school staff and friends. So far I have fabric cases with tissues or a notebook inside, pretty wrapped soaps, bag charms, felt owls on a keyring and crocheted flower brooches.

Prices start at just 75p and they are on sale in Coopers Crafty Corner.

More bags

This week I have made another couple of tote bags. This time I have used oilcloth in a beautiful blue and white print. I bought the material from Trego Mills in Newton Abbott, Devon a couple of years ago and there was just enough to make two bags so these are exclusive, there will be no more! I have lined them in a toning blue cotton print material and they are on my shelf in Coopers Crafty Corner.

Spring is here!

Spring is definitely in the air so I thought I would make some pretty spring wreaths. I have done one in pink and white and one in lilac and lemon. You can see them in Coopers Crafty Corner.

Other colour themes made to order. What about ordering one as a Christening or Wedding gift? I can make a double heart for weddings.

I have also made some more pretty bags. This one is a tote bag. It is made from sturdy curtain fabric and is fully lined. It has a pretty flower attached which could be used as a brooch.
This one is a pocket bag but a bit larger than the ones I made previously (those have both sold so I need to make some more). It is again made from curtain weight material and is fully lined and also padded.
This one also has three pockets on each side and is a generous size (17" x 15" approx.). Made from the same material as before and also lined and padded and has a zip fastening. It would make an excellent craft bag.
Finally with Easter on the horizon I just had to make some Easter chicks. These cute chicks have a secret inside - a Cadbury's Crème Egg! There are only 5 at the moment so be quick if you want one. Only £2 from Coopers Crafty Corner.

More Mothers Day makes

This week I have made some pretty make up bags filled with nice things. The bags are made in 100% cotton fabric and lined in a contrasting material. The larger ones have three pockets on the front containing hand cream, lip balm and a nail file or foot cream, lip balm and toe separators.

The smaller ones contain a tablet of soap wrapped in pretty paper.

The wrapped soaps are also available separately for just 75p each.
My final make this week was a small lined tote bag containing four lavender bath products. The bag is made from 100% curtain weight cotton so is very sturdy.

These products will be added to my shelf in Coopers Crafty Corner on Wednesday.

With Mothers Day just around the corner I thought I would make some pretty things for mums.

My first make was some cushion covers with a shabby chic theme. They are 15" square and are available with or without cushion filling.

I also made some glasses cases, phone cases and tissue cases in pretty materials. You could get a matching set.

My tea cup pincushions have proved popular so I made another couple with a lacy edge.

I also filled a few more pretty bottles that I have collected with bath crème.

Finally a slightly random make but I think he is cute. A sparkly black hedgehog!

As always all items on sale in Coopers Crafty Corner.

Beat the winter chill

The weather seems to have turned decidedly chilly so I have stocked my shelves in Coopers Crafty Corner with warm woolly hats, scarves and shawls.

Hand knitted mohair berets in a variety of colours, big mohair shawls that can be worn in a variety of ways and some pretty frilled scarves.

The children's puppy dog and fox hats are still available to order and I can also do owls. Any size from 0 - 3 months to adult.

Had a long train journey up to Scotland a couple of weeks ago so took some knitting to do and came up with these lttle fellas. I think they are cute. They are on my shelf in Coopers Crafty Corner and have 20% off along with all my other Christmas decorations.

Thought I would make another couple of sewing jars as they have proved quite popular. In case you are wondering they contain 12 mini reels of cotton, needles, needle threader, thimble, safety pins, hooks and eyes, press studs, buttons, elastic, tape measure and pin cushion lid with some pretty pins. Everything you need for an emergency sewing job!

I had a few cards left over from the ones I made for family and friends so have popped those on the shelf as well. there are only 5 of them but they are quite unusual and have 20% off.

Finally I was asked to make a rag wreath in neutral colours with an owl on. I wondered if it would look a bit bland but I actually think it has turned out quite pretty.

This will be my last blog post this year so I would like to wish everyone and wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year.
